About
I am a Bay Area native that has had a love for art since I could hold a pencil. My incredible and loving parents would recall noticing that my passion for art sparked at a young age, doodling on post it notes, the back of mail laying around the house even the back of my homework pages. Embarrassingly, I’ll admit I even drew on and signed my oldest sister’s high school diploma at about 4 years old. Let’s just say everyone knew I loved to draw. The support for this love was always given by my loving parents who every birthday would get me the highly requested new and improved art set I would ask for each year. In grade school art projects and events were my everything. Art and creative self expression became secondary and took a backseat during my college years. During my young adult years my time then became devoted to starting my family and career. But the beautiful thing of destiny is when your calling is initiated, pathways and roads are illuminated to guide you along the road. And my guiding light was reignited in 2019 during the lock downs while at home with my daughter. In my attempts to brighten up a dark uncharted moment in our lives, I studied ways to create a peaceful and nurturing environment for my daughter to expand her creativity and assist with distant learning. In the midst of my building that environment for my daughter, inadvertently the fire for my wonderful passion was rekindled and my purpose greeted me with open arms as I embraced my calling. My endless fuel of inspiration comes from the beauty, radiance and brilliance of my daughter, in addition to the extraordinary love and affection from my amazing husband, soul mate and best friend.
Within the space of a blank canvas, I strive to create unique and beautiful pieces that contain the quintessential portrait of life and all of its magnificent aspects. I extract the beauties from around me, with vivid imagination and pull inspiration from them. A heartfelt smile on my daughter’s face, an island resting in the clouds on a vanilla sky, a dandelion being caressed by the gentle touch of a spring breeze, to a beautiful sunset hiding behind the mountains are examples of how my art is created. My work range is high quality acrylic on canvas and hand drawn digital art. Although young in my discovery of painting and various forms of art I am currently in a state of finding my voice within by experimenting with colors, textures and subject matter. I am constantly challenging myself, embracing new avenues of art and growing with every experience. In essence art is interwoven in the fabrics of life, in understanding this concept, life is merely a series of marked canvases encoded with infinite possibilities and meanings.
My recent exhibitions include De young Museum Open 2023, Wishing Bubbles located in Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco de Young and Legion San Francisco, California. This piece was inspired by my daughter. In honor of this, I was inspired to create my very first collection series titled Bubbles.
