About the Artist
Sherita Henneri Art is a reflection of light, emotion, and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments.
Inspired by coastal landscapes, bold color, and the movement of feeling, each piece is created to bring a sense of calm, depth, and presence into your space.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sherita draws deep inspiration from the ocean—its rhythm, stillness, and ever-changing light—shaping a signature style that blends serenity with expression.
Her love for art has been present since childhood, expressed through school projects and quiet moments of creativity. However, her journey into painting began in 2019 during the COVID shutdowns, when she started painting as a way to keep her daughter engaged while navigating homeschooling. What began as a simple, meaningful activity quickly revealed something deeper—a natural connection and passion for painting that would ultimately change the direction of her life.
What started as a moment of care and creativity within her home has since grown into a purposeful artistic practice—one rooted in passion, growth, and self-discovery.
A defining moment in that journey came when her work was selected for the de Young Open 2023 at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco—an experience that affirmed her voice as an artist and inspired her to continue pushing her creative boundaries.
Supported and inspired by her husband—her best friend and greatest supporter—along with her family and close friends, and motivated daily by her daughter, her work carries a deep sense of authenticity and heart.
From serene ocean scenes to expressive, vibrant works, each piece is an invitation to pause, feel, and connect—bringing a sense of peace to all who experience it.
